Check into your rooms after a rest then down at meeting place in the hotel lobby or foyer for group briefing where our guide or leader provides you with information on pilgrimage tours and other necessary subjects to make your stay enjoyable.

Evening includes group welcome dinner in a nice authentic Nepalese restaurant to get the taste of local cuisines with local cultural program to entertainment while you enjoy the dinner.

    A statue of sleeping Vishnu lying on a bed of serpents in the middle of pool and seems to float on water, this reclining statue built in 5th century A.D. although a
    renowned spot of worship, the reigning king of Nepal (may it be contemporary or
    any Hindu monarch) cannot visit this place for reasons particularly unknown.

    Thus to please the king a replica of it has been built elsewhere if he wishes to visit it much, after prayer and worship return back to hotel.

      Morning an interesting short drive of less than hour towards south of Kathmandu to reach at famous and popular Hindu temple of Dakshinkali which is within Pharping area, about 18 k.m. distance from the city of Kathmandu.

      A peaceful location with cool forest around rural farm areas, on reaching Pharping visit famous old Buddhist nunnery and monastery with caves where in 6-7th century Guru Padamasamba visited here on his way to Tibet from India.

      Stayed and meditated here in the cave, from this holy Buddhist spot short distance ride to Dakshinkali Temple of Kalig goddess, where most pilgrims sacrifice small animals like goats and chickens, the famous day is on Saturday, this sacred spot situated within near Chobar gorge where Bagmati River flows.

      Here perform puja and religious rites with help of local priests and then continue pilgrimage tour to Patan Durbar Square, less of an hour drive to reach another adjoining district of Kathmandu.

      The elegant Shikara-style temple is ranked as one of the gems of Durbar Square. The temple is compared with sacred Mount Meru, which is abode of the god Shiva according to Hindu scriptures.

      Mahaboudha:

      A Buddhist temple of Mahaboudha, which is made of clay bricks, lies to the east of the Durbar Square. Hundreds of Buddha images are engraved in the bricks. The temple is known for its fine terra cotta work.

      Kumbheshwor:

      Just at rim of Durbar square lies five-storied pagoda temple of Lord Siva built by King Jayasthiti Malla, inside the temple premises a natural spring, believe is that source comes from famous holy and glacial pond of Gosainkund, located north of Kathmandu valley around Langtang Himal at Rasuwa district.

      The golden work on the temple was added later in 1422 A.D. On the festival of Janai Purnima (month of August), ritual bathing and fair takes place.

      From Patan Durbar Square short drive to Bungmati and Kokana villages located on the very edge of Kathmandu valley around Lalitpur district, where you can observe traditional and heritage farm life of villagers of old Newar culture visit the local old houses and famous temples, this place famous for handmade garments and mustard oils.

          After an interesting tour head towards north of Pokhara where you can observe local life at traditional bazaar of great ethnical diverse with temples that reflects the Newari architecture of Kathmandu valley, although Pokhara majority are hill people Gurung with Magar and Tamang with Hindu Brahmins, Chettries and Dalits. The local bazaar has important and interesting temple of Bindhyabasini Mandir (temple), this white dome shaped dominates a spacious stone paved courtyard on a shady hill top with excellent views of the bazaar with Annapurna mountain range. After a glorious day return back to hotel with rest of the day free at leisure.

            With pleasant time in Pokhara, morning drive to Pokhara airport for short scenic flight to Jomsom, on flight enjoy fantastic views of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range of mountains, till flight lands at Jomsom airport located on a shelf of Kali-Gandaki River. Jomsom, headquarter town of Mustang district from Jomsom drive on windswept landscapes of Kaligandaki plains to reach at Muktinath as drive diverts from Kaligandaki River valley heading up on winding road to reach at holy Muktinath and the village, then taking a short break to enjoy views of Mt. Dhaulagiri and adjoining peaks.

            From the village of Rani-Pawa where drive ends and takes a short walk up to reach within Muktinath premises where the history and purity goes back into antiquity of 2,300 years ago.

            An important pilgrimage spot for both Hindu and Buddhist visiting the sight of natural power, on-route pilgrims also search for black glossy fossils called shaligram (ammonite), found in abundance around Kaligandaki River banks.

            The outside a small rounded rocks but split open reveals imprint of slugs and ammonites formed 140 million years ago. Because of its wheel-like shape the shaligram is associated with the Hindu god Vishnu.

            Muktinath, located on popular Annapurna Circuit trekking route coming from Manang via high Thorang la pass, from Muktinath trail also joins to remote areas of upper Mustang region, in auspicious time as per Hindu calendar, the place is flooded with pilgrims of both Hindu and Buddhist religions.

            At Muktinath take a bath and wash on its cold and holy 108 water spout, which is also the source of Kaligandaki River and then enter the main temple of Muktinath for prayer.

            After worship visit other temples and Buddhist monasteries and then drive back to Jomsom for overnight stop in the town populated by Thakali people, the main tribe of Kaligandaki River valley and Lower Mustang.

              Early morning transfer to Jomsom airport for short scenic flight to Pokhara, on reaching at Pokhara drive to reach at famous spot and birth site of Lord Buddha at Lumbini.

              As drive heads around nice town of Waling and Syange then reach Palpa, Tansen the last town located on hills as ride reaches at low land of Terai belt within the district of Rupendehi, around Lumbini zone in the land where Lord Buddha was born on reaching outskirt of Buddha’s birth place and then transfer to your hotel.

                From morning till afternoon full day tour of Buddha's historical and religious sites with other interesting areas and holy Buddha’s birth places includes other historical spots, Lumbini traditional birthplace of Gautama Buddha founder of Buddhism, born in the 6th Century B.C. Way back in 249 BC, a great Buddhist convert Emperor Asoka visited Lumbini and built four stupas and a stone pillar. Asoka’s Pillar bears an inscription that translates as: "King Piyadasi (Asoka), beloved of devas, in the 20 year of coronation, himself made a royal visit, Buddha Sakyamuni having been born here, a stone railing was built and a stone pillar erected to the Bhagavan ["blessed one"] having been born here.

                The area was re-discovered in the year 1895 by a German archaeologist identified Asoka’s Pillar its inscription. Records made by the Chinese pilgrim Fa Xian were also used in the process of identifying this religiously acclaimed site. Lumbini was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.

                        Best Seasons for Nepal Pilgrimage Tour:

                        Nearly all months of the year except the monsoon wet season from mid-June to August where southern Himalaya will receive much rains.
