Langtang Valley Trekking, a short scenic and cultural walks a perfect pleasant adventure that suits to all age group and as well for any types of travelers from family-school-collage groups to corporate executive where you one spend enjoyable time within fresh-mountain air for a week.

Langtang Valley Trekking, a soft adventure of moderate grade walking where one can enjoy marvelous walks that takes you around high rolling hills covered with deep forest of lovely rhododendron-magnolia-pines-oaks-hemlock and fir tree lines.

In spring time the whole hills and valley will be magic when wild-flowers are in bloom with riots of vivid colors with valley floor decorated with beds of miniature- flowers with rhododendron of various species from tall trees to bush.

As journey progress heading higher areas where tree lines drops for short rhododendron and juniper bushes with alpine shrubs within cold alpine zone of high green valley enclosed by range of white snow peaks.

Besides mountains and enchanting woodland the culture and custom of local Tamang ethnic tribe of Langtang region is equally fascinating as you explore around traditional villages on this scenic walks on Langtang Himal Panorama.

Adventure begins with exciting and interesting overland drive from Kathmandu heading north of the valley past nice town and farm villages to reach high hills of cooler temperatures within Langtang Himal and Langtang National park, the first park ever established around mountainous region of Nepal Himalaya in early 1970’s.

Walk begins from Syabrubesi village heading into higher areas within picturesque country into river gorge and then finally reaching our main highlight at Kyanjin within magnificent Langtang valley enclosed by high peaks of Langtang Himal.

With glorious time around beautiful landscapes enjoying views of array of Langtang and Jugal Himal range then heading back on the same route to the road head for the drive back to Kathmandu after a wonderful experience on Langtang Valley Trekking.

You will arrive at the Kathmandu international airport via respective airlines. Upon arrival, you will be met by our staff or a guide waiting for you outside the arrival gate. He/ She will then transfer to your hotel in the hub of the city.

After checking into your rooms, you will take a rest. Later you will join the other groups of Langtang Valley Trekking at the meeting hall for a brief on the trek ahead.

In the evening you will be taking part in a welcome dinner held in your honor. It takes place in a nice and authentic Nepalese restaurant. You can enjoy your dinner watching the Folk Culture program of Nepal.

In the morning after taking a hearty breakfast, you will get ready for a sightseeing tour. You will be visiting various places of interest, around the Kathmandu valley. A place with historical and religious monuments temples and monasteries. All these attractions are UNESCO-listed World Heritage Sites.

After an interesting tour, you will return back to your hotel. The entire afternoon is free for you to relax.  You can prepare mentally for the Langtang Himal Panorama Trekking. The next morning an early overland drive takes you to Rasuwa.

The journey starts with a wonderful morning drive. An overland journey takes you towards the Langtang Himal area. It leads you past the Kathmandu valley rim heading northwest to reach Dhunche. It is the headquarters town of the Rasuwa district. It is within the Langtang Himal, home to the Tamang people who are the ethnic highlanders of the Central Himalayas.

The drive then leads downhill on the zig-zag winding road to reach Syabrubesi.  This is your first overnight stop within the Langtang area.

The morning begins with a wonderful trip that takes you toward a bridge. The trail is set on an uphill road that goes past spread-out farm villages. You will notice nice tended terraced fields entering into the cool shade of the forest.  The tall rhododendron-magnolia-oaks and pine trees with some bamboo thickets make it refreshing.

The walk then leads past the tree lines reaching an open area at Lama Hotel. It is a place with several basic lodges and Tea-House for trekkers. A scenic place surrounded by the woodlands.

After a pleasant overnight with the sound of river, morning walk leads into a river gorge covered with lovely dense forest, as our route leads to a clearing at Ghoretabela a nice spot with few lodge for possible lunch stop.

Enjoying with refreshing break, then walking back into tree lines as our trek leads higher ground to reach Langtang village at the end of a gorge, a nice Tamang village (which was destroyed during the earthquake of 2015 but slowly coming back to normal life), here with time to wander around this nice traditional village of great interest.

Today the walk starts from the Langtang village. You will walk on a nice gradual uphill trail for a few hours encountering the “mani (prayer) wall”. Walking clockwise is the appropriate way, it is a  way of giving due respect to the Buddhist religion. The walk then leads further east as the valley opens up with views of snow-capped peaks.

After a few hours of a gentle good walk overlooking the views of peaks, you reach Kyanjin. It is a charming and scenic spot with amazing views of Langtang Lirung above 7,000 m.  You get to watch the icefall at a near distance from the Kyanjin Gompa. It is a ridge formed by a glacial moraine of rocks and boulders.

It is a leisure day, for you. You will get to visit Kyanjin's small Cheese factory with an optional climb. You will be reaching to Tsego-Ri or Kyanjin Ri which is at 4,700 m / 15,420 ft elevation. This adventure offers you a stunning panorama of snow-capped mountains.

The views include that of the Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal (7,405 m), and Langtang Lirung (7,234 m). The Ghengu Liru (Langtang II 6,571m).  Kimshun (6,745 m), Shalbachum(6,918m), Chimsedang, Naya-Kanga, or Ganja Chuli (5,846m) are fabulous to watch. Besides that the Gangchempo at Tilman's beautiful Fluted Peak is mesmerizing.  The Jugal Himal that ends to the eastern horizon at Dorje Lakpa (6,980m) is second to none.

After spending a wonderful time at Kyanjin, you return back on the same route to Lama-Hotel. It is a small settlement in the midst of the forest at the bank of the upper Trisuli River.

This is the last day of your marvelous journey. The walk leads you back to Syabrubesi.  The morning trek leads on the same trail which is more of a downhill descent. You will be walking through the farm villages and terrace fields.

After a while it reaches the Bhote Kosi River later it joins the Trisuli River. Next, you will be crossing a suspension bridge.  A pleasant walk then brings you to Syabrubesi. This is your last and final overnights around the Langtang Himal area and at Rasuwa district.

You will be driving early in the morning to reach the city of  Kathmandu.  The drive is on the same interesting highway filled with exciting experiences. It leads you through several farm villages and towns. You will be driving with the views of interesting mountains all around. After six hours of absorbing journey, you finally reach Kathmandu. Once in Kathmandu, you will retire to your respective hotel.

This is a reserve day for you. It is a free day that allows you to relax from the tiring treks. Interested people can join a tour around the Kathmandu-Patan or the Bhaktapur areas. All these attractions are UNESCO-listed World Heritage Sites.  Besides that, you can do your own individual activities of your choice as well.

This is the last day of your trekking in Nepal. You will drive towards the Kathmandu international airport.  

One of our staff or a guide will transfer you to the Kathmandu airport.  You will be taking back mesmerizing memories of the Langtang Valley Trekking.

Best Seasons for Langtang Valley Trekking:
Best time in April and May in spring season with September to early December months during autumn and pre-winter times.

April and May with much longer sunlight hours, makes the trek more interesting and very special with wild flowers in season especially the rhododendron of various different species from trees to bush, which is also national flower of Nepal.

Most days are clear from morning till late afternoon, can get cloudy sometimes with chance of snows around higher elevation cold in the morning and night time (without wind-chill factors).

September to December during autumn / fall and pre-winter season most days are crystal clear from morning till mid-afternoon, days are shorter and as well with sunlight hours, much cold with freezing temperatures in the morning and night as well in shades above 1,800 m high (not adding extra wind-chill factor).

Local Culture and Religion:
Langtang Valley within Rasuwa district dominated by Tamang tribe closely linked to Tibetan with similar culture and way of farm and cattle herding traditional life, follows both Buddhism religion and Bon sect of pre-Buddhism an ancient worships of natural surroundings and mountain spirits.

Where every houses festooned with colorful prayer flags which you notice on this wonderful treks and respecting local immense culture of Buddhism religion.

Climate and Weather: 
Himalayan climate can be unpredictable sometimes even in good best seasons, where April and May to first week of June will be the best time during spring times, when days are longer with enough sunlight hours.

Morning and night time as well in shade can be cold and much freezing temperatures around higher areas above 3,000 m.

Other months from September to November another great times for treks around Himalaya, when days are clear for views, although much colder months of autumn season with extreme cold during morning and night time, where sunlight is much shorter.

Visa:
Visiting Nepal one can obtain entry visa from your home country at Nepalese Embassies and Consulates, if not one can easily get visa on arrival at Nepal international airport in Kathmandu, or any port of entry.

Emergency Contact:
For travel within Nepal Himalaya where all travelers and adventurer requires to fill our company form with emergency contact to relatives and families or close friends, as well keeping in close touch with Trekking Planner for immediate helps either medical or unforeseen reasons.

Arrival:

On Langtang Valley Trekking staying on best available local lodge from the start to and end of treks with nice meals as per your choice from wide range listed menu from the lodge serving from famous Nepalese Dal-Bhat to Continental with some Chinese, Tibetans and Indian foods.

All meals are well cooked, hygienic and fresh served in a large dining hall with warm environment.

Drinking Water:
On local lodge safe drinking water boiled and filtered for drinking.

Health:
Where all travelers require sound good health to join on all treks and climbs around Nepal Himalaya with healthy medical background and history. 

Vaccinations:
Check with your home doctors and season of visit to Asian countries where immunization and vaccines requires against certain disease.

Altitude Sickness:
Altitude Sickness of AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness)  might occur to some people on higher altitude from 2,000 m for some above 3,000 m high where taking slow and drinking much fluid and water can overcome from high altitude sickness or AMS.

On this trek AMS does not occur as you will be well acclimatized slowly on daily walks and with overnight stops at certain heights.

Where some can take protective measures using Diamox or Acetazolamide tablets this prevent and reduce symptoms of AMS can lower headache in high altitude walks and climb.

People with severe cases and situation of HACE and HAPE where the victim should be brought down to safe and secure places with medical team or doctors to attend, the fastest means is emergency evacuation by any means of immediate and fast transportation where available.

Around Nepal Himalaya the quickest emergency evacuation by means of Helicopter services to bring the victims back to Kathmandu and for further treatments.

For emergency evacuation where trekkers should be well insured with good Insurance policy that covers all medical side and the use of Helicopter or other means of transportation.

Travel Insurance:
Where all travelers to Nepal Himalaya require Travel and Medical Insurance to cover against unfortunate accidents and sickness covering Helicopter Service Rescue to safe places and nearest hospitals.

Age Requirements:
On this trek to Langtang Valley people of all age can join in from infants to elderly of 70 years will be allowed if one can get medical insurance from your home countries.

TIMS Card
TIMS (Trekking Information Management Systems) or similar permits for this treks includes Langtang National Park entrance fee as well.

Getting Into Nepal:
To reach Nepal one can reach by overland from India or Tibet, the main arrival from international flight to reach Kathmandu and Nepal international airport.

Communication:
At present nearly all villages and towns do have facilities of ISTD and STD or cell phones or Sat phones, where one can easily communicate to your family or Trekking Planner in emergency situations.

SIMS cards available on showing your passport copies with small charge as per your time in Nepal.

Money:
On paying full package of the trip, where you need some extra money for your own individual expenses to buy souvenirs or for extra entertainment on route treks like having extra snacks and drinks.

Culture:
Culture the main thing to observe by travelers to Nepal, where the country with two main religions Hindu and Buddhism with their own special interesting culture and custom.

Photography:
Photography can be taken all around Nepal, where some public and private areas of Government, religious monuments and some old people might not allow photographs, where your guide will advise you on restricted places.
