Doing Lower Dolpo Trekking with Trekking Planner Inc. USA will prove to be your ultimate adventure ever. A destination where you will gain enough experience that is sure to remain in your memories.

Lower Dolpo Trekking journey takes you into the wildest country of the Himalayas.  This is an area where most of the world's highest mountains sit pretty. All these are within Nepal's Mid-East and Mid-West. Except for the only world 7th highest massive Mt. Dhaulagiri range that extends on the eastern side of Lower Dolpo.

Lower Dolpo is a scenic country enriched with fascinating cultures.  They continue to follow  Buddhism and the ancient Bon of pre-Buddhism religion.  This still exists around the western end of the Himalayas.

The region of Dolpo is a paradise for travelers. They can find themselves in a serene and undisturbed environment.  It is because this country is less frequented by trekkers. Hence there are fewer visitors each year. As compared to the popular Annapurna and Everest areas.

Dolpo Trekking Trail with its green hills to the arid, and windswept terrains appear to be lovely. It falls within the vast extension of the huge Tibetan Plateau. It remains almost dry and barren most of the year-round.  The monsoon clouds do not touch it as the massive mountain ranges act as a barrier to it.

Lower Dolpo Trekking begins with sweeping spectacular flights from Kathmandu. It lands at a low sub-tropical Terai belt in the Nepalgunj city airport.  Upon reaching here you will then board a  transit flight to reach Jhupal at Dolpo.

The adventure begins right here. You will follow a trail that heads towards scenic and magnificent Phoksundo Lake. This place is within the Ringmo Village surrounded by green fir and pine tree lines.  You are in for an ideal day's rest. In the latter half of the day, you get to enjoy glorious natural sceneries. The sightings of the snowcapped peaks of Kagmara and Kanjiboraba are rewarding. If there is time left you can also explore the Ringmo village. This village is fascinating and has had a traditional unchanged culture for centuries.

After a fulfilling Phoksundo Lake Journey, you make a cross over to a  high Baga-la and Jiang-La pass. Next, you will be reaching the eastern end of Inner and Lower Dolpo.  Here you will find yourself in an interesting Tokyu village. This is one of the most attractive villages within Dolpo.

Enjoy your tour around these lovely villages. It's an opportunity for you to witness its colorful and ancient customs and tradition. The custom they follow is the same as the South-Western Tibetan culture.

From Tokyu, you keep up the pace by witnessing interesting villages and monasteries. You will be walking in and around the beautiful lovely valley.  This valley has a fantastic stream Dho- Tarap. Following the Dho-Tarap stream, you reach the historical place of Tarakot.  This is an important village as it used to be in its old glorious days. It was when the Malla dynasty ruled the western part of Nepal. It included most of Mid-West and Kathmandu valley.

Tarakot happens to be the junctions of all routes that join with Mustang. Along with Dhorpatan, it leads to Tibet on this Old Trans Himalaya Salt Trade Route.  The trek moves at a gradual slow pace from here. Your journey comes to an end once you reach Jhupal via Dunai, which is the headquarters town of Dolpo.

You will be spending your last final overnight in Jhupal and around Dolpo. The next morning you will be flying back to Kathmandu. Once you reach Kathmandu it marks the end of your glorious adventure. It is one of the marvelous experiences of a lifetime on Lower Dolpo Trekking without a doubt.
