Walk takes you through nice farm villages following Dudh Kosi River upstream for sometimes and then above the river to reach famous Namche Bazaar the hub and capital of Khumbu Sherpa, an interesting large village nearly a size of a town.

Where one can find many facilities from excellent hotels, lodge, restaurants, fresh bakeries to well stock stores and shops, interesting to witness Saturday market held once a week where all Khumbu Sherpa visits the market with their traditional costumes.

From the summit where you will be surrounded by spectacular scenery of high mountain range with Mt. Everest at mere distance, includes Lhotse, Nuptse as far to Mt. Makalu towards east and Mt. Cho-Oyu in the North West direction extends to majestic Ama Dablam.

After a great experience and skill on climb to the summit Lobuche East Peak descend safely back to base camp and then on return journey back into farm villages and green hills to reach Namche unto Lukla for last final overnight in Khumbu.

On first arrival in country’s international airport at Kathmandu meet Trekking Planner Inc. USA staff and guide for short transfer in the hub of Kathmandu city at Thamel area, an interesting place where all needful items are found around in the shops and stores at Thamel.

Check into your rooms after a rest then down at meeting place in the hotel lobby or foyer for group briefing where our guide or leader will provide you with information of the climb and treks with other necessary queries to make your stay with us more enjoyable, evening includes group welcome dinner in a nice authentic Nepalese restaurant to get the taste of local cuisines with local cultural program to entertainment while you enjoy dinner.

    In Kathmandu free day at leisure preparation for Island Peak Climb with Everest base camp trekking. On this day enjoy tour around heritage sites, as Kathmandu steeped with historical and ancient religious sites of both Hindu and Buddhism religions, an exciting tour get glimpse of Nepalese cultures as it were hundreds of centuries.

      Starting early morning transfer to domestic airport for short and scenic flight to Lukla, taking a smaller aircraft (Twin Otter or Dornier) during 30 minutes on air with amazing panorama of Himalayan series of peaks with Mt. Everest, as the plane lands on its unique uphill runways reaching at Tenzing & Hillary airport in Lukla.From here a slow start with few hours of walks on downhill past many Sherpa farm villages with well-tended crops and vegetable fields and terraces with occasional views of snow-capped peaks of Kwangde and Kusum Khanguru, and then reaching our first overnight stop of the trek at Phakding in the comfort of nice and cozy lodge located by the raging Dudh Kosi River.

          Suggest Hike and Excursion on Rest Day:

          Visit museum at Sagarmatha National Park headquarter on top Namche Bazaar offers grand views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse and Amadablam with other adjoining peaks.Hike to Everest View Hotel, the highest deluxe hotel in the world at 3,880 m high offers views of Everest and Amadablam, for energetic people can hike to Khumjung and Khunde villages located on a glacial valley, with lunch at Khumjung and Khunde and back to Namche for overnight.

            From Namche facing views of peaks and after hearty breakfast, depart from Namche where walk leads you on gradual scenic path with downhill to Imjatse River at Phunge-Tenga for lunch, afternoon climb into rhododendron, pines, fir forest with grand views of snowcapped peaks.

            After few hours of climb reaching at Thyangboche Monastery, enjoy marvelous views of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Khangtiaga, Tharmasarku, Kwangde with magnificent Amadablam, afternoon with time to visit its interesting monastery and observe monks and priest on prayer.Thyangboche a scenic and beautiful spot where once a year in the month of October or November a festival is held called Mani-Rimdu, where you can observe monks adorned on different deity masks wading evil spirits.

              With morning majestic views, morning downhill walk for short while to reach Imjatse River, after crossing a bridge walk into open country where tree lines stops for few short juniper and rhododendron bushes, uphill for a while to reach at Pangboche village at 3,900 meters.

              Pangboche last permanent village before Dingboche and beyond, from here a slow climb to Somara for lunch and continue walk with climb to Dingboche village for overnight stop, located within scenic Imjatse valley with excellent views of Amadablam and Island Peak.

                A rest day for proper acclimatization with longer Yoga exercise facing beautiful landscapes and views of high peaks, option for short hike up to Nakarjung hills for better views of surrounding peaks with Mt. Makalu towards east adjoining.

                Afternoon check climbing gear and perhaps with some practice lesson on climb from our guide with more information regarding its technical sides to reach the top of Island peak or Imjatse Himal.

                  From Dingboche walk up for short-while and then on slow gradual uphill path to reach at Thugla, a small isolated place with few shops and tea-house, having lunch here on uphill trail to reach at Thugla ridge.

                  On top where you can see great many stone memorials of unfortunate climbers who died on climbs on Everest and other high peaks of Khumbu area, after a short rest continue walk to Lobuche for overnight stop.

                    After overnight at Lobuche walk towards Everest base camp heading past above Khumbu glacier and rocky moraine as walk takes to a flat sandy field, where Gorakshep situated with some lodges on route Everest base camp, continue to our destination at base camp within massive glaciers with huge block of Khumbu Ice-Fall.

                    Enjoying moments at Everest base camp then walk back to Gorakshep for overnight stop.

                      Early morning steep climb takes you on top most scenic view point hill at Kalapathar for Glorious panorama of giant peaks that surrounds you with closet views of Mt. Everest and Mt. Pumori, truly a breathtaking scenery of world highest mountains that encircles this high rocky hill top.

                      After a great marvelous moments on top Kalapathar descend back to Gorakshep for breakfast and continue walk further from Lobuche settlement to reach our main goal and target at Lobuche East Base Camp for adventurous climb.

                      From today for few days overnights in tented camp with food and service from our separate unit of kitchen tents with head cook, kitchen staff besides guide and porters.

                        After enjoying first night in tents, where morning climb takes you to ferry camping gear to next High camp, adding extra more camp will be great advantage and accessible to reach on top Lobuche East Peak summit, one of the few tough and technical trekking peak within Nepal Himalaya, climb takes you to rocky moraine and ice section and finding suitable space to pitch tents, with afternoon time to scout the route of climb with climbing practice and preparation where our guide will offer final briefing regarding safe and successful climb to Lobuche East summit.

                          Starting early morning before crack of dawn, as route of climb leads on snow and ice sections, facing steep technical sections to overcome, a physically demanding routes even for experienced alpine climbers. As climb takes you on steep exposed climbing sections of snow and ice slopes over 50° angle to reach on top summit of Lobuche East Peak within close to its adjoining West Peak.

                          Enjoy spectacular scenery of rolling mountains with near views of Mt. Everest with Lhotse, Nuptse as far to Mt. Makalu in the east and Mt. Cho-Oyu towards North West direction with stunning panorama of peaks including majestic Amadablam.

                          An adventure of a life-time experience enjoying fantastic views, where descents will be long and more complicated, and most of the route requires to be roped, from the summit descend safely back to base camp for last overnight in tented camp, after a hard tough day but worth the views and excitement.

                            To make this adventure climb more successful, Trekking Planner Inc. USA reserves an extra day as contingency, in case of bad and unfavorable weather which can occur sometimes around high Himalaya even in best time of the year.

                            If this day not used and all goes well according to our standard itinerary our guide / leader will use this extra day on return trek to Lukla, making some day shorter and enjoyable walks.

                              Enjoying exciting moment of the adventure with climb on top Lobuche East Peak, walk towards the main trail where Pheriche and Dingboche route joins at Thugla and then walk takes you down at Pheriche windy valley and continue descent to Pangboche village for overnight stop.

                                After pleasant stop at Pangboche return journey on downhill and then climb up to Thyangboche Monastery enjoy views of Everest, Amadablam, Nuptse and Lhotse with time to visit the monastery and then retrace the journey on downhill to Phungi Tenga, crossing a bridge an hour climb and then on gentle winding trail all the way to Namche Bazaar for last overnight stop before ending the trek at Lukla next day.

                                  From Namche continue descent to reach at Dudh Kosi River and then short climb to Monjo village after going through the exit point of Sagarmatha National Park, after Monjo walk follows Dudh Kosi River bank and then with few short ups and downs to reach at Phakding, after a short refreshing break, enjoy last day walk back to Lukla.

                                  On reaching Lukla for overnight stop where you can have fun with evening party and last dinner around high Khumbu within Everest region.

                                    From Lukla flight starts from early morning to Kathmandu in fine clear weather, sometime the flight time can get delayed due to bad weather, as per the flight time board in a small plane for a super, scenic flight back to Kathmandu.

                                    On reaching Katmandu domestic terminal our guide and staff transfer you back to respective hotels in the hub of Kathmandu in and around Thamel area.

                                      A day reserved as spare and free day in case of flight delay which can occur at Lukla or in the beginning due to bad weather conditions even in best time of the year, this day where one can enjoy joining in sightseeing tour for few hours or at leisure for individual activities.

                                        After a great and grand experience around high Khumbu with successful climb on top Lobuche East Peak, depart from the hotel to the airport for final departure homeward bound or to respective destinations.

                                          Best Season for Lobuche East Peak Climb and Everest base camp trekking:

                                          The best time from March to May in spring season with September till mid- December months during autumn and pre-winter season.

                                          March to May much longer sunlight hours where green hills with wild flowers especially rhododendron of various species will be in full bloom till Thyangboche, makes the trek more interesting and very special.

                                          Most days are clear from morning till late afternoon, can get cloudy sometimes with chance of snows around higher elevation cold in the morning and night time (not adding extra wind-chill factors).

                                          Mid-September to December during autumn / fall season where most days are crystal clear from morning till mid-afternoon and short day light hours, much cold with freezing temperatures in the morning and night as well in shades (not adding extra wind-chill factors).

                                          Local Culture and Religion:

                                          Sherpa are the natives of Everest and other higher Himalayan region, the word Sherpa comes from Tibetan language as East for Shar or Sher and Pa means people, Sherpa migrated from Eastern Tibet around high Himalaya of Nepal and Mid-East to Far Eastern Himalaya range.

                                          Way back more than 400 years of history, the Sherpa normally are farmers and livestock herding like cows and yaks interwoven with strong Buddhism religion and fascinating cultures that you can witness walking around villages.

                                          In every Sherpa villages one can find a monastery, some are older of more than 500 years like the monastery of Thame and Pangboche villages, where’s the famous monastery of Thyangboche was much older which was destroyed by huge fire in 1991 and been built to its original shapes.

                                          As you walk from village to another where you will come across many prayer walls and religious monuments of Stupas (dome), with rows of spinning prayer wheels.

                                          Sherpa men-folk were the first and earlier pioneers as mountain and trekking guides and still holds the post to this day.

                                          Climate and Weather:

                                          Himalayan climate can be unpredictable sometimes even in good best seasons, where April and May to first week of June will be the best time during spring times, when days are longer with enough sunlight hours.
